Christian Zionism is a threat to Palestinians

According to the Director if the Inter-religious Dialogue Department of the Hamas led Palestinian government “Christian Zionism” is a significant threat to the Palestinian people and to Islam. He says that any denomination that is pro-Israel has joined ranks with Satan himself and should be thrown out of the world church.
Hamed Al-Tamimi is an outspoken member of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Palestinian Authority. He claims that Christian Zionists unconditionally support the Zionist enemy (Israel) and opposes Islam and the Muslims. He goes on to say that Christian Zionists have adopted Satan as god and that Satan drives their crazy nature. Christian Zionists “have praised depravity and cursed virtue, they have turned the moral scale upside down and have reached [a point] in which forgery, deception and lying have turned into descriptions of world policy, which is led by the Zionism on both its branches – the Jewish and the Christian.” – Hamed Al-Tamimi
These statements were translated by the Palestinian Media Watch, headed by Itamar Marcus, from an official website of the Inter-religious Dialogue Department of the Palestinian Authority. Marcus indicates that this is not the first time that the Palestinian Authority has ridiculed Christian Zionists.
“Christian Zionists” are people who believe that Israel has a right to the land which they currently possess. Al-Tamimi and the Palestinian Authority view this mindset as an affront to their current political situation. Lack of funding for the Palestinian Authority, international pressure to squelch the violence against Israel, and US led pressure to negotiate with Israel is direct results of the Christian Zionist mindset.
Al-Tamimi quotes from a speech by Riad Jarjour, Secretary-general of the Middle-Eastern Churches Committee, who says that Christian Zionists should be “expelled by the world church, since [they are] a dangerous distortion and a big deviation from the true Christian faith, which concentrates on Jesus. [Christian Zionism] defends a national political program which considers the Jewish race supreme."
Al-Tamimi concludes by indicating that the US led war against Iraq is also a result of President George Bush being of this “Christian Zionist” mindset, and that President Bush is pursuing a worldwide war against Islam.
